Storm clouds over Colfax

I didn’t have my camera on me when this huge cloud cell east of Denver was looking its coolest (all purples, pinks and grays). When we left the Whole Foods in Cap Hill, dozens of people had filed into the street out of bars, restaurants and homes to look at it. It was a scene straight out of Independence Day. Also, this is my first stitched panorama using hugin, and I’m really happy with the way it turned out. Expect to see many many more of these.

  1. Look at using autostitch it’s an excellent piece of free software that will stitch you photos together a little more seamlessly.

  2. That’s a pretty big cloud! I’ve made some modifications to Hugin to deal with cloud stitching.. if you take any more cloud panos like this I’d love to see them
